Nebraska (32-27) has been selected as the No. 3 seed for the NCAA Regional in Chapel Hill, N.C., and will play second-seeded Oklahoma (35-20) on Friday, May 30 at 4 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
North Carolina (42-12) is the tournament’s No. 5 overall seed and will play No. 4 seed Holy Cross (31-25).
Friday will be the 251st meeting between Nebraska and Oklahoma. The Sooners were the No. 12 seed in last week’s SEC Baseball Tournament, falling to fourth-seeded Vanderbilt in the quarterfinals.
Monday’s selection marks Nebraska’s 19th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history and the 16th appearance in the last 25 seasons (excluding the canceled season in 2020). This is Nebraska’s third NCAA Tournament appearance under Head Coach Will Bolt.
