The Nebraska Bankers Association recently conducted its annual convention in La Vista. The event honored several individuals and banks.
One of those recognized was Ron Weaklend of RVR Bank in Fremont for his 50 years of service in the banking industry. Cindy Slykhuis of RVR as well as the bank itself received Leaders in Financial Education Awards.
Bankers honored for service to the NBA include Katy Wolf Bode of Platte Valley Bank in North Bend and Lydell “Woody” Woodbury of First National Bank in Valley.
The 23-member NBA Board of Directors includes Nick Vrba of RVR Bank and Ryan Steffensmeier of First Community Bank of Beemer.
NBA Foundation Scholarship Recipients include Elijah Boryca of Cozad for Midland University, Eden Lehr of Blair for Concordia University and Grayson Meyer of West Point for Wayne State College.
