“Steve” M. Kerwin, 57, was born to Don and Karen (Dunker) Kerwin on February 24, 1967 in Fremont and died in his home on January 28, 2025.

Steve was a lifelong resident of Fremont. After receiving his GED, he entered the trades and worked several jobs throughout his lifetime. He worked for Pella Windows, Dave’s Woodworking, and Sampson Construction before settling into finish carpentry, where he found his passion and purpose.

Steve enjoyed hobbies such as boating, golfing, and playing pool. He was a dirt bike enthusiast and enjoyed cruising the town on nice days. Steve also enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially his grandson Brayden.

He is survived by his two children, Bradley Kerwin and Paige Kerwin; grandson, Brayden Kerwin; sister, Kim, and husband, Scott Roberts; stepmother, Sylvia Kerwin; sister-in-law, Deb Kerwin; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Don Kerwin and Karen Kerwin, and brother, Jeff Kerwin.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Chaplain Scott Jensen will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Moser’s.

Burial will take place at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont.
