sinai-lutheran

Sinai Lutheran Church will present harpist Melissa Schuerman at 3 p.m. Nov. 24 in the first recital of the 2024-25 Festival Sounds season.

Schuerman’s program will include a variety of works and will feature selected Christmas pieces. To add to the holiday experience, Christmas
quilts created by Scott Flanagan and other area quilters will be displayed.

A middle school orchestra teacher in Omaha, Schuerman earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music and music education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has performed with the Omaha Symphony, the Lincoln Symphony, the Hastings Symphony, and the Sioux City Symphony, as well as
performing in many other venues in the Omaha area.

Schuerman currently serves as president of the Nebraska American String Teacher Association, which promotes string programs in and outside schools
across the state.

The church is located at 950 East Eighth Street in Fremont. The public is invited. There is no admission. Free will donations are welcome.
