
Fremont police are investigating a stabbing that occurred Friday afternoon.
Officers were called at about 1:30 p.m. to the 1200 block of North Park Avenue for the report of an injured party that had possibly been stabbed.
The injured victim was located and transported for medical care by the Fremont Fire Department. As the investigation progressed, two suspects were located in the 2200 block of H Street. They were transported for questioning and were later arrested and jailed.
Jay Lee Herrera, 23, was jailed for first-degree assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony, possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person and tampering with evidence. Dewayne Johns, 37, of Fremont was jailed for first-degree assault and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.
