
Jeffrey L. “Jeff” Booze, 66, of Prague passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Saunders Medical Center in Wahoo. He was born October 5, 1957 in Fremont to Lawrence and Beverly (Kincanon) Booze.
Jeff grew up in Cedar Bluffs and graduated from Cedar Bluffs High School in 1975. He served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1978 during Vietnam. After the Army he moved to Fremont. Jeff married Mari Cruse July 6, 1979 in Fremont. He worked for several meat packing plants around the area before starting at Hormel in 1989. He retired in 2018 after 29 years. He and Mari co-owned Irv’s Deli & More with his mother-in-law, Rita Cruse from 2003 until 2017. They moved to Prague in 2004.
Jeff loved Husker Football and trapping and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Mari Booze of Prague; son Keith (Margaret) Booze of Cedar Bluffs; brother, Keith Booze of Fremont; sisters, Sue (Tom) Townsend of Lake Ozark, Missouri, and Nancy Silvey of Craig; and six grandchildren, Draven, Damien, Savanah, Athena, Addalyn and Novah.
A Celebration of life service will be at a later date.
