SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) has announced its football players of the week for games played the week of September 9-15, 2024. Treden Davis-Reed of Midland University was named the GPAC Defensive Player of the Week while Mark Arp of Concordia University and Kelen Meyer of Doane University garnered the other two weekly GPAC awards.
Davis-Reed, a senior from Spokane, Washington, made his mark all over the defensive side of the ball on Saturday. He led the team with nine total tackles, forced and recovered a fumble, and had an interception as Midland nearly upset No. 14 Morningside at home. He has led the Warriors in tackles every game this season and is averaging 8.3 stops per contest. The Warriors will travel to take on No. 2-ranked Northwestern this coming weekend. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 21 in Orange City, Iowa.
