Dennis D. Einspahr, age 75 of Fremont passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born January 29, 1945 in Hastings, Nebraska.
Dennis grew up and graduated from Trumbull, Nebraska High School in 1963. He graduated from Southeast Community College in Milford and then Kearney State College in 1969. He married Helen Junker on June 21, 1968 at Juniata, Nebraska. They came to Fremont in 1969 and Dennis taught for Fremont Public Schools until 1984. While teaching he developed the Construction Technology Class, where they built a home a year in Fremont. Dennis’s family would like students or teachers to leave a note (at the visitation or online at Moser’s) and let them know which house you helped build in class. The list for family wasn’t completed by Dennis at the time of his passing. In 1984 he became a general contractor owning Einspahr Construction until retiring in July of 2010.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont, Fremont Anglers Club and was a private pilot. He was a former member of the International Comanche Society and Fremont Habitat For Humanity Board, City of Fremont Board of Adjustments, Fremont Contractors Association, NAHB (National Association of Home Builders, Builder 20 Club and SCC-Milford Construction Technology Advisory Board. He is survived by his wife, Helen; son Troy Einspahr and daughter, Tara Einspahr Hamilton (Gino Hamilton) all of Fremont; sister, Ardyce (Ron) Hodges of North Platte, Nebraska, brothers, Bill and Bob Lesoing of Washington state; brothers-in-law, Howard (Belva) Junker of Juniata, NE and Harold (Marjorie) Junker of Hastings, NE and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Mildred (Ockinga) Einspahr; biological parents, Harry and Marjorie Lesoing and nephew, Todd Hodges.
Public but limited visitation will be on Monday April 13th from 12-7 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Private interment will be on Tuesday at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Rev. Dan Heuer of Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date (due to the pandemic) at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont.
