
Myrna L. Puls 92 of Fremont passed away Monday, April 22, 2024 at Symphony Pointe Assisted Living in Elkhorn.
Myrna Lee Puls was born on February 12, 1932 in Utica to Henry and Irene Theimer. At age five the family moved to York to open a shoe repair business. She graduated from York High school in 1950 and attended St. John’s Lutheran College in Winfield, Kansas, and later graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.
She married Darrell Puls in Lincoln in 1961. They had two daughters. They moved to Fremont in 1965 to become owners of KC Drug which later became Puls Pharmacy. Myrna was secretary of the corporation. She was an elementary schoolteacher for nine years in Cleveland, Ohio; Denver, Colorado; and Lincoln.
She was also a special education tutor for nine years in the Fremont Public Schools. Myrna was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and PEO Chapter EX. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid gardener. She was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Irene Theimer, her husband, Darrell, and an infant son.
Myrna is survived by her twin sister, Verna Rank; daughters, Amy Weidner (Terry), Jane Gordon (Eric); grandchildren, Chip Gordon (Rachel), Brooke Whiteman (Daniel), Jillian Williquett (Brady), and Jenna Weidner. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. Vicar Greg Rathke will officiate. Closed casket visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church on Monday. Burial will be at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont.
