SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) has announced its softball player and pitcher of the week for contests played April 15-21, 2024. For the fourth time this season, Aliyah Rincon of Midland University was named the GPAC Pitcher of the Week.
Rincon, a senior from Granada Hills, California, won all three of her appearances/starts this week as Midland held on to its top spot in the conference standings. She threw three complete-game wins on the road, striking out 24 batters through 21 innings of work while allowing just one run (0.33 ERA). With her stat line, she maintains her lead in wins (22) and strikeouts (188) among GPAC pitchers and moves up to third in ERA (1.12).
