Donna Rae Kruger, 89, of Kansas, formerly of Fremont, died Sunday, April 21, 2024 in Kansas.
Donna was born November 22, 1934 in Snyder to Walter and Elenora ‘Westphalen’ Ellerman. She grew up in Pender, West Point and Scribner where she went to school. On February 3, 1950 she married Donald Kruger and they lived on a farm near Scribner for 5 years then moved into Scribner. She worked at Shorts Steak House in Scribner for 10 years. The couple moved into Fremont in 1975 from Omaha. Donna worked several places ending her working years after 10 years at Midland College.

Daughter – Diane Dukat of Topeka, Kansas
Son – Delbert (Jan) Kruger of Omaha
Three grandchildren
Four great-grandchildren
Brother-in-law – Ralph Wagner of Scribner
Donna was preceded in death by her husband Donald, two brothers Vern and Warren Ellerman and three sisters Delores (in infancy), Joan Berg and Janine Wagner, infant granddaughter and infant great-grandson.
The memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Burial will be in the Scribner Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Scribner Volunteer Fire and Rescue Departments.
