Donna M. Kruse Poole Kennedy, 85, of Fremont died Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Nebraska Methodist Hospital.
Donna was born June 5, 1938 in Hooper to William and Helen ‘Bay’ Kruse. She graduated from Fremont High school in 1956. She worked at Northwestern Bell and then received her LPN. Donna worked at Immanuel Hospital, Nebraska State Prison and various other facilities until she retired. Donna loved her animals, flowers and gardening.
Donna married Eugene L. Poole on March 16, 1963 and he passed away August 21, 1992. Donna then married William ‘Doyle’ Kennedy on April 4, 1998 and he passed away on October 14, 2015.

Son – Alvin Craig Poole
Sister – JoAnne Jessen
Brother – Larry (Brenda) Kruse
many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
Donna was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, son-in-law Alan Kirshen, daughter-in-law Nancy Jo Poole and brother-in-law Herman ‘Al’ Jessen.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2024, at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 5 Sunday at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel. Memorials may be directed to the family.
