Carra Beth Johnson, 95, of Fremont died Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont. Carra Beth was born on February 23, 1928, in Wellington, Texas to the late Mr. Jack Ball and Nora Sanford Ball. She married Roman Burton Johnson on May 11, 1947, in Wellington. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2012. She attended Wellington schools and graduated with her class of 1945. Carra Beth worked at Zales Jewelry Store in Fremont for several years, finally retiring in 1971.
Carra Beth was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Fremont. She enjoyed the art of Tole painting for several years. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Carra Beth was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Von Dell Ball of Wellington, Neeta Lewis of Dallas, Pearl Browder of Giles, Texas, and her brother, Jack Ball, Jr. of Lubbock.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth (Bill) Knoell of Warsaw, Missouri; son, Mickey (Cindy) Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren, Jared (Rae Ann) Knoell of Elkhorn, Jina (Chris) Paul of Gretna, Becky (Aaron) Ritchie of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Beth (Richard) Perez of New Braunfels, Texas; nine great-grandchildren, Lauren and Logan Paul, Mason and Reece Knoell, Bri, Blake, and Bentley Perez, Caleb and Jackson Ritchie, and a very special niece, Linda Keith of Fort Worth, Texas; her sons, Kris (Kristen) Keith of Athen, Texas; and their children, Katherine and Kassidy of Texas, and Kyle (Maryann) Keith of Weatherford, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Fremont, 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 15, 2024. The Rev. Tony Dawson will officiate.
Closed casket visitation will be from5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery following the funeral.
