Shirley L. Appleget, 85, of Fremont passed away Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, at Methodist Fremont Health. She was born Oct. 25, 1938, to Kenneth and Mildred (Humphreys) Whittaker in Beatrice.
Shirley graduated from Beatrice High School. She married Jon Appleget on May 29, 1959, in Beatrice. After their marriage they came to Fremont.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fremont, PEO and several bridge clubs.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Jon of Fremont; sons, Jon (Mary) Appleget of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Andrew (Carin) Appleget and Thomas (Angie) Appleget all of Lincoln; and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Carol (Reinder) Siefkes.
There will be a private family graveside service at Blue Springs Cemetery in Blue Springs, NE.
