Danny L. Hardy, 68, of Fremont passed away, Oct. 27, 2023, at Methodist Fremont Health.
Danny was born Nov. 9, 1954, in Brinkley, Arkansas, to Fred L. and Joan J. (Mertes) Hardy. He graduated from Fremont High School. Danny married Karen Mohr and they resided in Fremont. They later divorced.
Danny was a truck driver for Gambles, CF, and Holland for many years. He was a Teamsters Union member and active in the Fremont Airboat Club. Some of Danny’s favorite hobbies included fishing, hunting, boating, traveling, and spending time with his children, grandkids and grand dogs.
Danny is survived by his daughter, Jamie (Roger) Vanek of Fremont; son, Eric (Kris) Hardy of Fremont; brothers, Ben (Pat) Hardy of Temecula, CA, and Bob Hardy of Cotopaxi, Colorado; grandchildren, Carlie Vanek, Tanner (Melony Fiala) Vanek, Trenten Hardy, Carter Vanek and Easton Hardy; 2 great-grandchildren, Brayden Vanek and Cameron Vanek; nieces and nephews, Ryan Hardy, Paul Knapp, Matt Knapp, Ben Hardy, Jodie Hardy, and Nicole Tucker.
He was preceded in death by his grandparent, Lola Mertes; parents, Joan and Fred Hardy; and sister, Pamela Knapp.
The Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Chaplain Scott Jensen will officiate. A Celebration of Life will follow the service at the Fremont Airboat Club.
