Patrick “Pat” D. Stigge, 77, of Omaha passed away Friday, Sept. 29, 2023 at Echo Hills Assisted Living in Omaha.

Pat was born March 28, 1946, to Gustav Sr. and Philomena (Gladowski) Stigge in West Point. Growing up, he lived in Dodge, Telbasta, and Fremont. He graduated from Bergan High School in Fremont. Following graduation, he joined the United States Navy from April 8, 1966, to March 10, 1969, and served during Vietnam.

Pat worked many years as an electrician for the Union Local 22, retiring on March 28, 2008. He loved to camp and travel in his motor home and enter his 1934 Oldsmobile in local car shows.

He was preceded by his parents; sisters, Marilyn Pospishal, Dorothy (Mel) Vitek, Jeannine (Leonard) Klitz, and infant sister, Patricia; brothers, Walden Stigge, Gustav Jr., and infant brother, Kenneth.

He is survived by his son, Joshua (Kimberly) Johnson; brother, Rodney (Kay) Stigge; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday with a rosary starting at 7  at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Military honors will be conducted following the Mass at church.

Burial will take place at the St. Wenceslaus Cemetery near Dodge at a later date.
