Fremont police have released the identity of the deceased man discovered on Wednesday in the 300 block of East 22nd Street.
Authorities identified him as Steven C. McCauley II, 45, of Fremont. An autopsy was conducted and McCauley’s next of kin have been notified.
Fremont police said it remains an active investigation, pending toxicology reports.
FPD does not consider the public to be at risk.
