A West Point teen-ager has died as the result of a farm accident involving a pickup truck and a payloader.
The Cuming County Sheriff’s Department said the accident occurred at about 1:52 p.m. Thursday on property near 14th Road and A Road.
The victim was driving a Ford F-150 pickup that was traveling southbound when it collided with a payloader driven by an adult male from West Point. The payloader was coming around the south corner of a feed shed and was turning north.
The driver of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver of the payloader was not injured.
The names of those involved have not been released. The accident remains under investigation.
