
Fremont Boys and Girls Track and Field teams competed at the Harold Scott Invitational in Lincoln, NE at Lincoln High School on Thursday. The following athletes got Top5 in their respective events:
Juan Gonzalez took 2nd place in the boys 800m run with a time of 1:58.01
Noah Miller and Will Schulz took 4th and 2nd place, respectively in the 3200m run. Miller finished with a time of 9:52.69 and Schulz clocked in at 9:50.57
In the boys 4x800m race, a team consisting of Gonzalez, Wes Pleskac, Coulter Fritz and Caleb Sund got 3rd place at 8:18.03
In boys field events, Michael Dalton claims 3rd place in the Pole Vault at 12-06.00
Getting into girls results, Sydney Glause finished 3rd in the girls 200m race with a time of 26.09. Glause would take 2nd place in the 400m run with a time of 1:00.32
Maris Dahl and Chloe Hemmer took 5th and 2nd places, respectively in the 3200m run with times of 11:50.24 for Dahl and 11:35.55 for Hemmer.
The Fremont girls 4×100 team consisting of Glause, Emmalee Sheppard, Ella Cooper and Sahree Worthy took home 5th place at 51.07. The 4×400 got 4th place at 4:10.88 with that team featuring Sheppard, Cooper, Glause and Allison Merrill.
Finally, in girls field events, Makenna Meyer took home 3rd place in the discus throw, checking in at 118-01. Tayler Evans would take 1st place in the pole vault, clocking in at 10-03.00
The Fremont girls placed 5th as a team with 59 points while Lincoln East took the top score with 101.5 points. The Fremont boys finished in 8th place as a team with 43.5 points while Lincoln East would also win that side of the meet with 125 points
