Ron R. Nelsen, 64, of Fremont died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, at Methodist Fremont Health. Ron was born Aug. 15, 1958, in Fremont, to Leonard and Joan (Momany) Nelsen.
He was a 1976 graduate of Fremont High School. Ron served in the Nebraska National Guard. He previously lived in Lexington and then returned to Fremont. He was employed by Nelsen Floor Covering in Fremont for many years, until retiring in June of 2022. Ron enjoyed bowling.
Ron is survived by daughter, Myranda Parkhurst of Gothenburg; brothers, Donald (Barb Scheppers) Nelsen of Fremont, Roy Nelsen of Colorado and Timmy Nelsen of York; sister, Karen Johnson and significant other, Brian Parker of Tennessee; grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Joan Nelsen; brothers, Larry and Lenny Nelsen; and sister, Jackie Lee.
Memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Private burial will be at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont.
