The Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce will recognize nine business of the year finalists and one Hall of Fame Inductee on Feb. 10 at the 143rd Annual Banquet and Hall of Fame Gala.

The categories are Large Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, and Workforce Game Changer. The overall winner in each category will be revealed at the banquet.

“Rather than highlighting just the one award winner in each category, we have narrowed it down to three finalists,” said Chamber President and CEO Tara Lea. “A video of all nine finalists will be created and shown at the banquet, then the winner will be revealed. Only the executive board will know who won prior to the announcement at the banquet. We feel this is a wonderful way to shed light on the amazing things our members are doing and add suspense to the evening.”

The finalists for the Large Business of the Year are Christensen Lumber, Great Plains Communications, and RTG Medical. The Large Business of the Year Awards is dedicated to recognizing businesses with greater than 25 employees that provide innovative products and services, continued growth, and economic support for the Fremont community.

The finalists for the Small Business of the Year are Black Tie White Satin, Duncan Chiropractic, and Tommy’s Express Carwash. The Small Business of the Year Awards is dedicated to recognizing businesses with fewer than 25 employees that provide innovative products and services, continued growth, and economic support for the Fremont community.

The finalists for the Workforce Game Changer are Dairy Queen, Eagle Distributing, and S2 Roll Off and Refuse. The Workforce Game Changer Award is dedicated to recognizing businesses that provide an innovative and supportive work environment and involvement in employee engagement, development, and growth.

The Chamber will also induct Mary Sendgraff into the Hall of Fame, becoming the first female inductee. Sendgraff was the first Female Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce Board Chair and has continuously supported the Fremont area.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.fremontne.org or by calling 402-721-2641.
