Marie Best, 90, of Fremont passed away, Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at Nye Pointe Health in Fremont.

Marie was born June 18, 1932, in Battle Creek to Thomas W. and Margaret E. (Kelleher) Costello. She graduated from Norfolk High School. She worked at Pendleton Woolen Mills as a Seamstress for more then 25 years. Marie married Bill Best on June 20, 1953, in Norfolk. She resided in Fremont and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont and Catholic Daughters. She was the ultimate caregiver and family was most important in her life.

Marie is survived by her sons, Bob Best of Fremont, and Michael Best of Gardner, Kansas; son-in-law Kenneth McNary of Omaha; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Donna Best of Stanton; and nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; daughter, Connie McNary; brothers, Donald, Lawrence, Carroll, Thomas, Jerry, and John; and sister, Margaret McMahan.

The Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont. Family receiving friends will be 5 to 6 p.m. Monday with a Catholic Daughter Rosary starting at 6 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont following the luncheon on Tuesday.
