Fremont, NE- The Moo take their 7th loss of the season in a 5-2 loss to the North Platte Plainsmen that sees them drop their last 3 of 5. The Moo move to 8-7 on the season while the Plainsmen move to 11-7.
This time the Plainsmen got the scoring started with a solo HR in the top of the 2nd by INF Giancarlo Servin to make it 1-0. Fremont would come back in the bottom of the inning off a single by Nick Balch compounded by an error on the North Platte CF in the same play scored Bentley Boekhout to tie the game back up at 1.
North Platte would continue the scoring in the top of the 7th taking the lead for good off an RBI single by INF Garrett Thompson and then a 2-RBI single in the 8th made it 4-1. Another Solo HR by Thompson made it 5-1 before a bases-loaded Sac-Fly by Hayden Lewis scored Kanin Dodge from 3rd to make it 5-2.
Caden Fiveash took the win for NP going 8 innings allowing 1 run on 4 hits striking out 13 in the process. Kai Taylor was charged with the loss for the Moo going 6 1/3 innings allowing 2 runs on 7 hits striking out 9. The Moo and Plainsmen will play again tomorrow night in the final game of the 6- game homestand before the Moo have an off day Thursday and then a 3-game stretch away in Laramie, Wyoming against the Gem City Bison.
