The Fremont Family Coalition Leadership Board has announced the selection of Michelle Padilla for the position of Executive Director of FFC.
Padilla has more than a decade of experience leading effective teams to create sustainable change. She most recently served as Programs Manager at Lutheran Family Services in Fremont. In that role, Padilla implemented new local programs to address community challenges in the areas of poverty, parenting, prevention and early intervention. She is fluent in Spanish and holds advanced training certification in Bridges out of Poverty, Nurturing Parenting, Collective Impact and adoption and placement.
The executive director was raised in rural Nebraska and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Master’s Degree in Social Science. Prior to working at Lutheran Family Services, she worked as a Medical Interpreter, Family Advocate and Human Resources Coordinator.
Padilla has contributed her leadership and insight to various boards in the community and state including serving on the State-Wide Nebraska Commission for the Protection of Children. She has served on the Good Neighbor Health Clinic board and participated as a member of the Long Term Recovery Group, Housing Study Steering Committee and Multicultural and Inclusion Council.
