Based on the COVID-19 surge due to the Omicron variant, beginning on Tuesday all Fremont Public School buildings will be under a mandatory mask requirement through Jan. 28.
This requirement also applies to all district-owned, leased and chartered vehicles.
FPS will continue to monitor the district’s COVID-19 numbers on a daily basis. While the numbers are currently relatively low, they have trended higher in the past several weeks.
The district will reconsider the mask requirement when the current trend reverses. District officials continue to work directly with Three Rivers Public Health and take their leads from them.
