Investing back in the community that supports your business reaps benefits for all. This is the foundational principle of RTG Medical’s Community Partnership program.
Since originating, team RTG and company have impacted the community through employee-driven donations raised during RTG’s Annual Day of Thanks. Karna Dam, Community Engagement Representative with RTG Medical, commended the team and company for donating more than $300,000 to support pets, vets and youths in the community during the past five years.
The Community Partnership Program is an employee-driven, company-supported effort to provide the five employee-chosen non-profits financial and volunteer support.
“Knowing that people are our only asset, it was important that our community citizenship reflect the interests of our organization from a visual perspective of not just leadership, but through each employee,” RTG Medical COO and Co-Founder Jeremy Guenther said. “RTG’s Day of Thanks came from the desire to be hands-on and create a significant impact in those areas closest to our collective hearts. The effort is supported by RTG, but is driven, directed, and made possible by the financial and volunteer time contributions of RTG employees.”
RTG community partners include Nebraska and Dodge County Humane Societies, Wreaths Across America, Folds of Honor, Nebraska and Fremont Special Olympics, and Fremont Family YMCA.
“RTG Medical is truly community-focused. Our community partnership program is second to none,” Dam said. “It is the dedication, the financial contributions, and the volunteer time; that truly make a difference. Not only do the employees and company support their community partners financially, but also by providing volunteers to these same organizations.”
Showing their commitment, RTG employees had over 85% program participation heading into the 2022 Community Partnership program.
“It’s very important to RTG Medical to be a participating part of the community, and many organizations desire that,” Guenther said. “But when over 85% of the employees contribute on average over $900 each to the company’s offerings, I think that speaks to the genuineness of that desire throughout the organization. Corporate citizenship is important to our values, as is being a corporate culture of family.”
Dam said special relationships have been built with the various organizations.
“It has grown beyond simply donating money,” she said. “There is a true sense of commitment to each community partner. We believe in their mission and look forward to helping them continue that mission in the future.”
