The Fremont Public Schools Foundation Board of Directors has recently voted to fully support the Task Force for Kids and their efforts to pass a no levy
increase school bond issue on Sept. 14.
“The projects in this bond issue make perfect sense. They address the needs of our community with a focus on improved learning environments, safety and security, and operational efficiencies,” said Jennifer Benson, FPSF board president. “Our board of directors is absolutely behind this initiative!”
Newly appointed Foundation Board member Betsy Flores agreed.
“These are things that have been really needed for a long time,” she said. “I’m a long-time Fremonter, I send my children to Fremont Public Schools and I think of this as an investment in our kids’ future.”
“This campaign to ‘Repair – Renovate – and Renew’ will address the needs of our 60-year-old buildings, provide improved safety, security, and accessibility for students and staff, and accommodate the evolving needs of Fremont,” said Brett Richmond, FPSF Board Member and one of the Co-Chairs of the Task Force for Kids.
