Fort Calhoun man arrested in narcotics probe

A Fort Calhoun man has been arrested by the Nebraska State Patrol following a narcotics investigation in multiple counties.
Investigators executed search warrants at multiple locations on Wednesday. The first location was 5437 Samuel Colt Lane in Fort Calhoun. During the search of the residence, investigators discovered more than 11 pounds of marijuana, one pound of psilocybin mushrooms and a handgun.
Investigators arrested the resident, Jacob Drews, 31. He was lodged in the Washington County Jail.
A second warrant was executed in rural Bloomfield. Investigators discovered more than six pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, three pounds of marijuana, a small amount of cocaine, pharmaceutical pills and drug paraphernalia. Also discovered were four firearms and explosive material.
Cody Thomas of the Nebraska State Patrol said the investigation is ongoing. Additional charges are pending.
