Police probe computer theft

Fremont police are investigating the theft Thursday of a computer. 
 
At about 12:15 p.m., the theft was reported at a residence in the 1500 block of north Clarkson Street. Authorities say a silver-colored Acer brand laptop computer was taken off of the front porch of the residence. It has been left there by its owner. 
 
The laptop is valued at $500.
