Fremont man faces multiple charges

A Fremont man faces multiple charges following an incident on Saturday. 
 
Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of west 23rd Street in reference to a verbal disturbance. During the investigation, it was determined that Joseph D. Brainard, 35, forced his way into a residence. Brainard is then alleged to have assaulted the resident and the resident’s child.
 
Brainard was charged with child abuse, criminal mischief, first-degree criminal trespass, disturbing the peace and domestic assault.
