The Fremont Police Department is investigating an attempted abduction of a 15-year-old girl on Thursday afternoon.
On Friday morning, the girl reported that at 5 p.m. on Thursday, she was walking in the 600 block of north Main Street. A man, who the girl does not know, attempted to talk to her but she ignored him.
The man then grabbed the girl by the left wrist and attempted to grab her near the neck with his other hand. The teen was able to free herself and kick the man in the stomach.
The teenager went to a nearby business and the man left the area in an undetermined direction of travel.
The man is described as white, approximately 6-feet tall with “sleeve” tattoos on his arms and a tattoo on his neck. There is no further descriptive information on the tattoos. He was believed to be wearing a gray T-shirt.
