Three Rivers Health Department updates risk dials

The Three Rivers Public Health Department updated its COVID-19 risk dials on Wednesday afternoon. 
 
The Three Rivers three-county jurisdiction of Dodge, Saunders and Washington remained at 2.05 from last week. Dodge also remained unchanged at 2.05. 
 
Saunders and Washington both saw slight upticks. Saunders went from 2.20 to 2.35 while Washington climbed from 1.90 to 2.05. 
 
Officials said there were no major changes in the eight risk factors in the jurisdiction. ICU bed availability and the number of Omaha Metro Healthcare Coalition inpatients trended downward. There was no change in ventilator availability. 
 
Three Rivers announced two new variant cases in Washington County, both of which are the United Kingdom. To date within Dodge County, there have been 11 total variants, Washington has identified 14 while there are three in Saunders. 
 
There was one new death related to COVID-19 — a Washington County woman in her 90s. That brings the total death count in the jurisdiction to 124, including 77 in Dodge, 20 in Saunders and 27 in Washington.
