Basketball
The Fremont Tiger boys basketball team jumped out to a 19-9 lead over winless Lincoln High, early in the second quarter last night, but after a Micah Moore injury and cold shooting, the Links stormed back and defeated the Tigers, 66-50. Lincoln High was led in scoring by Livon Ramsey with 16 points. Antonio Murillo scored 14 and J.R. Gatnoor added 13. Fremont was led in scoring by Conner Richmond with 13 points and Sam Gifford with 10. Lincoln High is 1-12 on the season and plays at Omaha Northwest, tomorrow. Fremont is 4-13 and hosts Elkhorn High, tomorrow.
The Archbishop Bergan girls basketball team was back in action last night. With more, here’s Chris Whitney:
Nebraska women’s basketball battled back from a nine-point third-quarter deficit to take a four-point fourth-quarter lead, but Penn State made the plays and the free throws down the stretch to hand the Huskers an 85-74 loss at the Bryce Jordan Center on Thursday night.
