Public Meeting Scheduled For Updated Dodge County Housing Study

FREMONT – The Greater Fremont Development Council (GFDC) is hosting a public meeting to announce the results of the 2021 Dodge County and Communities-Wide Housing Study. This is an updated version of the study that GFDC completed in 2017.
The Housing Study Update was completed by Hanna:Keelan Associates, P.C., with the guidance and direction of the Dodge County Housing Steering Committee. During the update, Keith Carl and Tim Keelan of Hanna:Keelan will discuss the updated, five-year study with the public that includes Dodge County and the village of Cedar Bluffs. They will present the projected numbers of where Dodge County and the Fremont area will need to be in terms of having enough housing.
The Housing Study-Update was funded by a grant from the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority, with matching funds from the GFDC, Fremont Area Community Foundation, and Cedar Bluffs Education Foundation.
The meeting will take place this Thursday, January 28, at 6:30 pm in the Fremont Municipal Building Council Chambers at 400 E. Military Avenue in Fremont. The public may attend in person or virtually. If attending in person, masks are required and chairs will be spaced to abide by social distancing guidelines.
The meeting will be live-streamed on Youtube and will be available on the City of Fremont’s Youtube Channel.
