Midland University’s women’s basketball team edged the University of Jamestown on Thursday night, 75-74, in Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) action. With the win, the Warriors improve to 11-5 overall and 8-5 in the GPAC while the Jimmies fall to 9-5 and 6-5.
In Midland men’s basketball, the Warriors played great versus the Jimmies, who rank third in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), but would be downed by a Jamestown jump-shot that banked in as time expired giving them the 49-47 road victory.
Midland University’s women’s wrestling team began the New Year on Thursday night with a pair of wins over Hastings College and York College in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) dual action. Midland moves to 2-0 in dual action this season and will be back on the mat in Hastings, Nebraska this weekend at the Hastings Open.
