FPS Foundation Announces New Executive Director

Kevin Eairleywine succeeding Joe Sajevic

FREMONT – The Fremont Public School Foundation is announcing the retirement of Joe Sajevic and the appointment of Kevin Eairleywine as the Executive Director. Sajevic is retiring
after five years of service.

Joe Sajevic

Sajevic started as the Executive Director of the FPS Foundation in 2016. Under his leadership, he has celebrated several successful campaigns that improved experiences for Fremont Public Schools
students.
“It’s been an honor and privilege to serve as the Executive Director for the Foundation. It has been a labor of love, as I truly value what the Fremont schools do for students each and every day and hope during my time, the Foundation has supported these efforts. I’ve enjoyed the time spent in the position and am confident Kevin will do a great job!”
During his tenure as Executive Director, Sajevic facilitated the formation of the Dual Credit Financial Assistance fund, supporting low-income students with tuition and book cost assistance. Since its inception for the second semester of the 2017-18 school year, almost 250 students have been awarded funding. He also facilitated a fund-raising campaign in 2018 for purchasing Chromebooks for all 5th-12th grade students, raising over $180,000 to assist the FPS District with that purchase.
In addition, Sajevic’s leadership was instrumental in raising over $100,000 to upgrade the Emergency Radio Communications system for the Fremont Public School System, as well as for Trinity Lutheran Schools and Archbishop Bergan Catholic Schools.
Kevin Eairleywine will be taking on this role in addition to his roles as Executive Director of Human Resources and Elementary Operations at Fremont Public Schools.
“I am excited and honored to have been approached with this opportunity and look forward to working with the Board of Directors as they find additional ways to support Fremont Public Schools!,” said Eairleywine.
