The COVID-19 Community Risk Dials for the Three Rivers Public Health Department (3RPHD) jurisdiction of Dodge, Washington, and Saunders counties has been updated for the week.

3RPHD Jurisdiction:

This week the 3RPHD jurisdiction decreased to 3.00 due to a decrease in the number of cases, decreased community spread, and a decrease in the number of ICU beds and ventilators that are being used.
Dodge County:

  • 3.00 Current Week
  • 3.14 Previous Week

Saunders County:

  • 3.14 Current Week
  • 3.29 Previous Week

Washington County

“Remaining vigilant to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is more important now than ever. The more steps you and your family can take to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the safer everyone will be. We might not be seeing the high case counts now but your actions will drive what we see in the next 10-14 days.” said Terra Uhing, Executive Director at Three Rivers Public Health Department.
Please avoid the 3 C’s—Crowded Places, Confined Spaces, and Close Contact.
The main factors considered in the risk dials include:

  • The increase in the number of COVID-19 cases over the past three weeks.
  • The increase in the percentage of positive COVID-19 tests.
  • The capacity of the district and local healthcare system including the number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19, the ventilators being utilized and the percentage available of adult ICU beds.
  • The presence of community clusters and or community spread.
  • The availability of 3RPHD to trace all identified contacts of positive cases in 48 hours.

As a reminder 3RPHD updates the community risk dials each Wednesday, and the 3RPHD Data Dashboard is updated each weekday and can be found at https://www.threeriverspublichealth.org/COVID-19/COVID-19-Updates.
