The Fremont Area will host its first “Future of Human Care Micro-Symposium” on April 9.

Lutheran Family Services (LFS) is bringing its popular executive forum for nonprofit leaders to the Fremont City Auditorium. The unique regional conference was created in 2023 to bring the best minds together to strategize solutions for mutual challenges. This micro-symposium is a half-day version of the Omaha conference, now entering its fourth year.

Perhaps never before have our communities so needed robust and thriving nonprofit organizations to provide a safety net for their residents.

“As we navigate a world in constant change, it is essential that organizations that help people are strong, united, and prepared,” said Chris Tonniges, president and CEO at LFS. “We’re excited to encourage this spirit in Fremont.”

The Fremont event features new insights on philanthropy, digital wellness, employment law, and the city’s co-responder program. The morning aims to provide local leadership with a greater awareness of the issues impacting the Fremont area.

Featured speakers include:
• Melissa Diers, Fremont Area Community Foundation (Focus on Fremont)
• Dr. Andrea Neuzil, LFS Smart Gen (Digital Safety and Wellness)
• Ruth Horvatich, McGrath North Law (Employment Law Updates)
• Deputy Chief Jennifer Birkhofer, Fremont Police (Fremont’s Co-Responder
Program)

The goal is for attendees to leave inspired and with a renewed sense of collaboration and engagement with their peers. While there is no charge to attend, registration is requested by April 6 via email to symposium@OneLFS.org.

The event is scheduled for 9 to 11:30 a.m. in the West Community Room at the Fremont City Auditorium.
Seating is limited.
