Keene Memorial Library will be hosting a Local Author Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on April 18.
Various Nebraska authors will be set up in the Keene Community Meeting Room to promote and sell their books and meet with aspiring authors and fellow readers.
This year’s Author Talk will be presented by Carla Ketner at noon in the Children’s Activity Room. Ketner’s debut publication, “Ted Kooser: More than a Local Wonder” was published in November 2023 and won a 2024 MIPA Midwest Book Award, Paterson Prize for Books for Young People, and Nebraska Book Award.
Ketner represented Nebraska at the 2025 National Book Festival for the Great Reads from Great Places program. Her next book will be released in fall 2026.
