The City of Fremont Parks and Recreation team invites the public to enjoy trail and park improvements at Hormel Park and Wildwood Park, strengthening outdoor recreation opportunities for residents and visitors alike.
Funding for the project was provided through the Economic Development Administration (EDA) Tourism Grant, which supports initiatives that enhance local tourism and outdoor recreation infrastructure.
This project focused on rehabilitating and expanding nearly two miles of hiking and walking trails across both parks. In addition to trail improvements, new signage has been installed to better guide park users, and parking facilities at Wildwood Park have been expanded and upgraded.
To support both the completion and long-term upkeep of these improvements, the grant funded the purchase of specialized equipment that will help maintain the trails and park facilities.
With spring weather arriving and conditions ideal for outdoor activity, the City encourages everyone to take advantage of these newly improved amenities. Whether you’re walking, hiking, or simply enjoying nature, Hormel Park and Wildwood Park are ready to welcome visitors.
