SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), along with presenting sponsor Hauff Mid-America Sports, has announced its men’s basketball players of the week for contests played February 16-22, 2026. Jake Orr of Midland University was named the GPAC Defensive Player of the Week, while Jesse Van Kalsbeek of Northwestern College earned offensive honors.
Orr, a senior from Omaha, Nebraska, flirted with a triple-double in his final game as a Warrior on Saturday. In addition to his 19 points, he collected 9 rebounds and 9 steals in a narrow loss at Doane. Eight of his rebounds came on the defensive end, while his steal total was two shy of the Midland single-game record. He finishes his career with 1,576 points and 671 rebounds.
