Area residents interested in learning more about the Fremont Creative District and the upcoming sculpture walk are encouraged to attend a community meeting from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Fremont Opera House, 541 N Broad St.
This community event will give residents the opportunity to hear project updates, learn about plans for the future, and how they can get involved. Items to be discussed include Fremont’s upcoming sculpture walk, improvements at John C. Fremont Park, and a celebration in the park, scheduled for June 27, 2026.
Angie Olson, District Administrator of the Fremont Creative District, looks forward to the event.
“The Creative Council has accomplished a lot of behind the scenes work to get to where we are. Now we are seeing the material results of their hard work. We are excited to share updates and engage the community,” said Olson.
The Creative District Program is run by the Nebraska Arts Council, through legislation passed by the Nebraska Legislature that will show the arts as an economic driver, support communities in Nebraska in telling their stories, and elevate the value of the arts.
