SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), along with presenting sponsor Hauff Mid-America Sports, has announce this week’s softball player and pitcher of the week for contests played February 9-15, 2026. Midland University’s Alexis Shepherdwas named the GPAC Player of the Week while Abigail Tweedy of Dordt University earned pitcher honors.
Shepard, a sophomore from Waverly, Nebraska, had a .583 average this week with three doubles, four runs batted in, two stolen bases, and a walk. She had an on-base percentage of .643 at the plate as Midland went 3-1 in Davenport, Iowa.
