Hirschman to offer travel presentation on Nebraska

library-books

Fremont resident Rich Hirschman will give a presentation at 6:30 Tuesday night at Keene Memorial Library on his travels around Nebraska.

The presentation will be conducted in the community meeting room and will last about 45 minutes. The presentation, which is geared toward adults, is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

A history and geography teacher at Fremont High School, Hirschman retired in 2001. In retirement, he has spent extensive time traveling with his family, solo, and often in tour groups. Hirschman has visited all seven continents and about 60 countries. To him, history is not just about memorizing names and dates, but the study of important events and how they connect with what is happening today.
