SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), along with presenting sponsor Hauff Mid-America Sports, has announced its men’s basketball players of the week for contests played February 2-8, 2026. Nick Dolezal of Midland University was named the GPAC Defensive Player of the Week, while Jesse Van Kalbeek of Northwestern College earned offensive honors.
Dolezal, a senior from Omaha, Nebraska, pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds and scored 18 points in Midland’s senior day win over Briar Cliff, 79-75. Earlier in the week, he had a pair of steals in a road loss at Hastings. For the week, he totaled 19 rebounds (14 defensive), 2 steals, and 26 points.
