Connie C. Spath, 77, of Fremont passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Methodist Fremont Health. She was born March 10, 1948 in Norfolk to Curtis, Sr. and Evelyn (Kjar) Cochran.
She grew up in Norfolk and Plainview before moving to Fremont. She graduated from Fremont Senior High School. Connie also lived in Arlington, and then came back to Fremont. She was an administrative assistant at Boys Town until her retirement. She also worked part-time at JC Penney in Fremont.
Connie was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and St. Patrick’s Women in Fremont.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gregory and Reginald “Reggie” Cochran. sister, Cheri Cochran (Matthew Reisdorff) of Lincoln.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Sara (Berry) Mahan of Bellevue; son, Jeff Gieselmann of Fremont; brothers, Curtis Cochran, Jr. of Fremont and Duane (Teri) Cochran of San Diego; sister, Cheri Cochran (Matthew Reisdorff) of Lincoln; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2026 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday with a Rosary to follow at 7 also at Moser’s. Visitation will continue on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.
