Mark Jensen, a Fremont Ward 3 city councilman, has filed for re-election.
On Tuesday, Jensen filed the proper paperwork to seek his third term.
In an email to Walnut Media, the councilman said he had been contemplating the decision for many months. He added that strong encouragement from many of his constituents and his family tipped the balance to running for another term.
