The City of Fremont Parks and Recreation Department is offering free activities during the Christmas break for children.

Free community skating is scheduled four times during the upcoming weeks at Sidner Ice Arena. The first is 1 to 3 p.m. on Monday (Dec. 22). The others skating events include: 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 26, Jan. 2 and Jan. 5.

Bowling is also scheduled for two days at 30 Bowl. Those times and dates are 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 23) and Dec. 30.

Participants should bring their own money for concessions. There will five to six people per lane. Officials ask that if you want to bowl with a group, you must wait for your entire group to get there before starting to bowl.

A movie is also scheduled for Dec. 29. Doors will open at Fremont 7 Theatres at 9:15 a.m. with the movie “Zootopia 2” to start at 10. Pickup will be at noon.

Snack specials include $3 for a small drink and $3 for a small popcorn.

Registration is required for the bowling and movie events. You can register at: secure.rec1.com/NE/fremont-ne/catalog. You will need to create an account if you don’t already have one.
