
A suspect is in custody following a stabbing Thursday night in North Bend.
At about 11:25 p.m., Dodge County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 625 West Sixth Street in North Bend after dispatch received a 911 hang-up call near that location.
It was determined that medical assistance was required after a second 911 call was received by dispatch. North Bend Rescue responded to the scene, and it was discovered that a male party had been stabbed multiple times. The victim was taken to Methodist Fremont Health before being transported by medical helicopter to Omaha in critical condition.
Based on an investigation, the suspect was identified as Luis A. Calihua Tepole, 32, of North Bend. Calihua Tepole had also been taken to Methodist Fremont Health where he was treated and then transported to the Dodge County Jail.
At this time, the victim’s name is being withheld pending further investigation. There are no additional suspects and no threat to the public.
