
Wilma M. Veverka, 85, of Fremont died Monday, November 24, 2025, at Methodist Fremont Health. Wilma was born March 23, 1940 in Litchfield to Othe and Viona (Criffield) Asher.
Wilma grew up in Litchfield and graduated from Litchfield High School. She attended Eden College of Hair at Grand Island. Wilma married Frank Veverka on November 1, 1959 at the United Methodist Church in Litchfield. The couple then moved to Fremont.
Wilma was a volunteer librarian and then was a para in special education for 39 years for the Fremont Public Schools. She was a member of First United Methodist Church at Litchfield and Fremont. Wilma belonged to several sewing, knitting and quilting clubs throughout the years.
She is survived by her husband, Frank; daughters, Vicky (Mark) Wilkinson of Lincoln and Cindy Brown of Hayti, South Dakota; 4 grandchildren, Tanner, Minon, Brock (Kalli) and Heath; and 1 great-grandson, Arthur.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, LeRoy Asher.
Private family service will be at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
